Soul Awakening by Doug Simpson
This first novel was published in the United States in October of 2011. Soul Awakening is a work of fiction, inspired by a series of actual events. It is a spiritual mystery involving the apparently accidental, though actually orchestrated by Divine Intervention, meeting of three total strangers and their ultimate discovery that they shared previous lifetimes together. It delves into reincarnation, past lifetimes, spirit communication, messages from God, past-life regression sessions, Guardian Angels, past-life recall in the awake state, and soul attraction, the reincarnation of groups of souls together in more than one lifetime. It is available in print form and as an eBook through the publisher, Book Locker at http://booklocker.com/books/5754.html as well as most bookstores around the world. -
The Natural Way to Beat Depression
Have you ever sought medical help for depression only to be given a costly prescription for antidepressant medication? Perhaps you have been prescribed a combination of drugs in an attempt to find the right formula for you. Or have you found the side effects from drug therapy worse than the depression itself. The most common antidepressants have adverse effects ranging from irritability to stomach upset to loss of libido. Even if your depression has lifted, are you satisfied with the cost and side effects of prescription drugs?
For many people, natural remedies offer the best solution. Herbal remedies and simple changes in diet are often at least as effective in lifting a depressed person’s mood as some of the more common prescription drugs, at a fraction of the cost and without unpleasant side effects. (more…)

Money, Morality and Spirituality
Late 2011 has produced numerous Occupy protests. The Occupy Wall Street Web site says their purpose is “fighting back against the corrosive power of major banks and multinational corporations over the democratic process, and the role of Wall Street in creating an economic collapse that has caused the greatest recession in generations”.
Capitalism has undoubtedly produced unparalleled progress; just compare the U.S. with the former, communist, USSR. But even in the pinnacle of capitalism, the U.S., many millions do not have access to basic medical care.
The so-called credit crunch of 2008 shattered the illusion of the efficiency of capitalism, leaving major banks reliant upon public bailouts to stay afloat at the expense of a deep global recession and the ensuing suffering of the innocent majority. (more…)

The White Baby Boomers’ and X-Generation’s Responsibility
(The Once Middle Class), The Cry of the Indigenous, And The 99% Movement
by Gabriel of Urantia
When I was a young man in my late twenties, I went to a sweat lodge facilitated by a shaman in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who was a Taino native from the tribe where Christopher Columbus landed in Central America. I told him about a book I was reading by two white Harvard graduates and pointed out a part in the book that talked about some seagulls showing up over Columbus’ ship and guiding them to the landing where the Taino lived. They attributed this to Manifest Destiny—God. The shaman corrected the theory and told me that this so-called “manifest destiny,†perpetrated by the white powers, meant the deaths of millions of indigenous and the suppression of them for hundreds of years until this day. I did my own research, and the shaman was correct, of course. (more…)

Vitreous opacity vs. nervous system
Do eye floaters arise from the visual nervous system?
By Floco Tausin
For centuries, scholars have found different explanation for eye floaters, the mobile, scattered and transparent spheres and strings in our visual field. Early on, the origin was thought to be in the eye and the phenomenon was considered a disorder or degeneration somewhere between pupil and retina (Plange 1990). Today, eye floaters are believed to be an opacity of the vitreous. However, careful observation of floaters reveals regular structures that call the degeneration thesis into question. These structures strikingly resemble the morphological and functional structures of receptive fields of the visual nervous system. Thus the hypothesis of this article: so-called “idiopathic†(harmless) eye floaters are a visible expression of neuronal processes. (more…)

Life After Death – What’s Your Verdict?
If you are anything like me, I know you are fascinated by the idea of life after death, but there are so many conflicting accounts! How then are we to assess the truth for ourselves? Well today I am really excited to share an opportunity with you to deliberate the matter for yourself in a very special online trial, and best of all, participation is totally free!
We’ve all heard stories about near death experiences and afterlife encounters, but is there enough evidence to hold true in the criteria used by our court system – beyond a reasonable doubt – that personal consciousness survives death? This is exactly what my friend and colleague New York Times bestselling author and former criminalist, Eldon Taylor investigates in his provocative new series where you, the listening audience, become the jury. But be advised, in your search for the truth, you may well find some of your favorite theories disproved!

Patriotism in an Indian Context
By Lt. Col. RK Langar
The dictionary defines patriotism as love for one’s own country with an earnest desire to contribute towards the welfare of countrymen. But when we study patriotism in the light of Indian Spiritual thought that the world is one family, then patriotism takes a bigger form and gives a meaning in a larger since in that patriotism would not just mean just love for your own country. Patriotism would now mean love for the entire humanity and living in the world and contributing towards the welfare of all and not only our countrymen. When you love the entire humanity this also means love for your country as the world includes your own motherland as well. (more…)

Defining a Spiritualution – a Spiritual Revolution
In Reference to the 99% Movement and Occupy Wall Street
What the People Must Do to Win Over the Power Eliteby Gabriel of Urantia
Firstly, whenever the poor and disenfranchised—who were abused for years—took to the streets, they were hosed, attacked by the police dogs, beaten with sticks, and pepper sprayed. But now this new movement is not just a movement of poor blacks or other minorities but a combination of white and black races as well as yellow, brown, and red. It’s a true racial coalition that has representation from 99% of the population.
Now the children of the once middle-class parents are speaking out and protesting because they can’t get jobs and have huge student loans to pay off. Where were they when they weren’t as much affected by the greed and power control of the elite? (more…)

What it means to be Spiritual
By Lt Col R K Langar
Spirituality is derived from the world spirit which means soul or Atma residing equally in all. Spirituality is the realization that man is not just the body but man is essentially spirit or Atma which is the highest component of man’s personality. The Atma is a ray or fragment of God which makes a man divine at core. Spirituality aims at recognizing this divine principle which is responsible for the inner growth of man. (more…)
