PrideOne of the greatest sins. For pride is holding an inflated and often unjustified opinion of thyself. Pride in one's origins is a dangerous nonsense, for you did nothing to build those origins. Affection is fine, so long as it's heartfelt, but let it not bleed over into pride. We are each unique individuals. Treading a unique path of learning. If we may find pleasure that is our bonus. We are all members of the human race and all God's creations. Any further subdivision is pointless and goes against His Will. Respect the genuine achievement of others. Exceptional talent is worthy of acknowledgement. But pride is hanging on their coat tails, and the denial of your own mission to strive for the absolute. And of our own achievements, savour a moment's self-satisfaction and then know that water under the bridge is gone and start striving for thy next goal. We possess nothing past nor future, but the warmest memories are in fact not those of achievement but those of service. The words herein came to me from I know not where, but a source to which I shall refer as spirit.
