Quantum Physics & Perceived Reality
abracad, · Categories: in the news, science and spiritualityWired Science (July 7, 2010) reports research showing that Quantum Physics plays a role in photosynthesis, ie the process by which plants convert light to energy.
A process called coherence allows photon energy to find the shortest path through a leaf’s surface by taking all possible paths simultaneously, then “picking†the best one. The resulting energy transfer is almost perfectly efficient.
A recent Wired Science (June 2, 2010) article reports research demonstrating that
Human eyes can detect the spooky phenomenon of quantum entanglement.
So, what has all this geek-speak to do with Spirituality? The answer is that quantum physics appears to define the boundary of scientific knowledge. It appears, and is suggested by the best experimetal evidence, that the physical universe at its most fundfamental level contains an inherent indeterminacy (unpredictability / randomness). And, at the sub-atomic level, the universe defies explanation by known laws.
Quantum physics is not new, but has generally been considered something that didn't impact everyday perceived reality. However, recent research is suggesting otherwise.
Mightn't quantum physics represent the interface between our unseen Spiritual Source, and the physical realm we briefly inhabit; ie mightn't it be the levers pulled by the hand of God?
