As we head into yet another year full of great promise, the reality is that most of to go back to living by default only weeks into the New Year. It can be overwhelming, and it may seem impossible, to step boldly forward into manifesting your goals/dreams into real experiences. These dreams are possible! If we get clear with ourselves and access the right goal/dream and then deepen our commitment, it then becomes possible. I love the quote from, Napoleon Hill that states "that what ever the mind can conceive, and believe, the mind can achieve." (more…)

The Story of the Essenes - Jesus' Teacher

If you have not read the first part of the Story of the Essenes - The Beginning, then I respectfully recommend that you do so before you continue to read this article. It is not crucial that you do so, but it will be of some help in understanding how we reached our starting point for this article. If you cannot locate the first article on the website where you currently are, then you can read it on my website at http://dousimp.mnsi.net.

After centuries of faithful planning and progress, a small group of especially devoted and Divinely gifted members of the Essenes became aware, through dreams, visions and voices, that the birth of the long-awaited Savior was like a faint light at the end of a long tunnel, but a light none-the-less. But first, the birth, not selection but birth, of a Heavenly gifted teacher for the Messiah, needed to occur two or three decades before the birth of this prophesied Savior. Here is Edgar Cayce's story of that Heavenly anointed teacher, the next leader of the Essenes, and the most important person in the life of Jesus who was not named in the Bible. (more…)

Our Current Compromising-Consciousness President, And The Need For Both To Lean On Somebody Or Fall

by Gabriel of Urantia

The Republican nominees can also be called “the parade of new souls.” There is a lot to learn about the difference between a new soul and an older soul or starseed, which has taken me writing two published books (called The Cosmic Family, Volumes I and II) so far to even begin to teach. But for the clarity of this article, I will just state a few pertinent facts on both soul types.  The majority of the billions of people on this planet are new souls, but there are approximately 500 million starseed over the age of 18 who are older souls. by Bruce Nixon - Free PDF download available (see below)

The purpose of an economy should be the wellbeing of all. We’re all interdependent, humans and other life on the planet. People everywhere share the same need for love, happiness, security, good work, freedom, community and involvement in decisions affecting them. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. Today, this is far from being the case. (more…)

The Power of Sorry

by Sam & Terry Krause

“Love means never having to say you’re sorry.”

Remember that saccharine line from the famous 1970 movie “Love Story?” It sounded icky to us then, and it sounds icky to us now, but since, like us, many of you also came of age under the spell of that cloying mantra, we’d like to set the record straight once and for all: it’s a big fat lie that has nothing whatsoever to do with love.

“Sorry” can be a mighty tool in saving your marriage, but in order to take full advantage of its power, we must be trained in its proper use. (more…)

There is no glory in war

In an interview, Michael Ferner, interim director of Veterans for Peace, discusses the growing calls for non-violent means of resolving issues.

Veterans for Peace, a US-based non-governmental organization founded in 1985, seeks to eradicate war as a national policy. The group comprises veterans from many eras and conflicts, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to their website, "Our collective experience tells us wars are easy to start and hard to stop and that those hurt are often the innocent. Thus, other means of problem solving are necessary." Michael Ferner is the group's Interim Director. Jason Francis interviewed him for Share International.

Share International: What was behind the formation of Veterans for Peace?

Michael Ferner: The group Vietnam Veterans Against the War was created in 1967. A number of military veterans, most of them from the Vietnam War, got together in the mid-1980s and decided they wanted to form an organization that would provide a platform for veterans in an ongoing way, not just following a particular conflict. What brought people together at that time was a sense of urgency regarding US policies in Central America - using death squads in El Salvador and Guatemala, and later, funding the Contras in Nicaragua. Illusion and Reality

Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream? Edgar Allan Poe.

We each carry inside us a model of what we consider to be reality or truth. However, our concept of reality is inevitably incomplete, for reality in its entirety is too great and too complex to be understood by our finite minds. This incapacity to fully grasp reality is echoed in the scientific principle of quantum indeterminacy.

Everybody's concept of reality is unique. Each version represents a different subset of the single, whole, truth; but also incorporates different illusions into its representation of what is real. (more…)

Which is the Correct Religion?

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, religion, spirituality

By Dr. Stewart Bitkoff

Q:   In our tradition, we are taught those who do not believe the same as us are incorrect, and unless they change shall be punished by God.  Also, as responsible believers, we have a duty to try and correct their view?

A:    Does the Father love only some of his children?  Are not all children of God?

Before there was organized religion, how did travelers worship?  Were these millions all in error and abandoned by their Father?

To every place and time is a path or religion.  Look to a traveler's heart and their action; a good, loving person, who makes the world a better place, is a servant of God and has a religion to follow.  Let God evaluate the measure of their lives; God’s mercy is without end. (more…)

Occupiers Must Learn How To Use The Creator To Win Over The Power-Elite And Their Soldiers Of Gas-Destruction

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, in the news, spiritual politics

by Gabriel of Urantia

History doesn’t talk much about it (with the exception of the Old Testament and other holy writings of various religions), but most of the prophets and holy men of old have been revolutionaries, including Jesus Christ. Even over the last few centuries, revolutionaries like George Washington, Joseph Smith (of the Mormons), and Gandhi were men who prayed to the Creator for guidance. When they did pray, many of their historical accounts said that miracles happened. (more…)

Looking Back, Looking Forward

abracad, · Categories: christmas, purpose, self help

The Christmas / New Year / Winter Solstice season is traditionally a time for gathering around the fire with family and friends, celebrating the successful negotiation of another year and re-charging one's batteries ready for the new chapter of adventure and challenge that is about to begin. Much as Dicken’s Scrooge is forced to do, it is also a time for looking back and planning ahead.

Reminiscence can either be positive or negative, depending on how we frame it. We may mourn the loss of loved ones no longer here to share the spirit of the season, or we may remember with pleasure and thanks the many happy times we did share while resolving to share with our companions of this season some equally good experiences.
