The easiest way to manipulate and control
Is to activate our fear and reward mechanism.
This built in protection
Uses our main emotions: Love & Fear.

O spiritual traveler, gaze about;
See this manipulation in your everyday life.
Identify its use
So you might break free
And rise higher than the angels.

Floater structures in ancient Mesopotamia

By Floco Tausin

In Western culture, the phenomenon of eye floaters (or muscae volitantes) is primarily understood in line with modern ophthalmology as “vitreous opacities”. However, the review of mythical and spiritual visual arts from former and non-Western cultures discloses abstract symbols that resemble the typical structures of shining structure floaters (cf. Tausin 2012a). This suggests that floaters have been widely interpreted as a mythical or spiritual phenomenon; and that there might be a perceptual dimension of floaters that is hardly known to modern man. This article provides a trip to the visual worlds of Mesopotamia and suggests that floaters have found their way into the art and imagination of this ancient civilization. (more…)

How to get the most out of an energy healing

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, healing

by Cinnamon Crow

What is really happening during an energy healing?  Why do some seem to have magical experiences and total recoveries while others don’t?  Do you have to believe in order to have a successful energy healing?

As a healer, I have to detach from the outcome of a healing and release any preconceived ideas I may have towards my client’s recovery.  I have seen believers not be healed and skeptics receive miracles. (more…)

The Seven Principles of Spiritualism

A Personal Interpretation

The seven principles described here were given in the 19th century through the mediumship of Emma Hardinge Britten. They are widely accepted by Spiritualists and Spiritualist organizations around the world as the cornerstone of their philosophy. However, these principles are worthy of reflection by all faiths as well as those of none.

1 The Fatherhood of God

This principle is the recognition that everything that exists - you, me, all humanity, the entire physical universe - emanates from a single, purposeful "source" commonly referred to as God, Spirit etc. (more…)

2012 Prophecy - The Great Choosing

By Shanti Toll  July 31, 2012

Back in 1987, Jose Arguelles introduced the world to the Harmonic Convergence and the awareness of the  Mayan Calendar ending (Winter Solstice 2012). This December 21st is the end of the 5126 year Mayan long count  Calendar of Time. Other prophecies and theories have surfaced for this year as well that concerns the End of Time. What are these different prophecies and theories? Who and what is right? Is the final end or just the end of a cycle?  Is there a metaphysical  reason for this end date or is this just the end of the Mayan calendar? (more…)

The Role of Mediums and Psychics

Why People Consult Mediums and Psychics

It seems these days more and more people are consulting mediums and psychics with numerous Websites, telephone services and even entire TV channels dedicated to offering 24/7 readings. But why do people seek the services of these individuals, and what can we expect from them?

At least part of the reason for the growth in demand for medium and psychic services is the ever-growing complexity of modern life leaves many feeling unable to cope independently and thus feeling the need for some external advice. If that advice can come from an other-wordly source then so much better than from a counselor or therapist, who is ultimately just another human being like themselves.

I'd like to think a secondary reason may be that humanity is approaching a point where acceptance of a greater, infinite, Spiritual reality becomes the norm rather than something that seems freaky. (more…)

Thoughts Are Energy: "The Dark Knight Rises"

By Dr. Stewart Bitkoff

Introduction

For spiritual travelers, it is taught and stressed: personal thought creates reality, and what we think about strongly influences our personal and collective physical, mental and spiritual world.

As beings of pure conscious energy, on many levels, we are what we think about: both individually and collectively.

In our country, again, there was another man made tragedy, where a crazed, gunman killed and wounded many innocents in a local movie theater. Ironically, the unknowing victims had come to view a late night showing of a new Batman movie entitled:’ The Dark Knight Rises.’ In this real life drama, a crazed, gunman assumed the role of Darkness; shooting, killing and harming many.  For personal reasons, rising-up and creating, through deadly force, a night of tragedy, terror and death for many people he did not even know. Opinion: Serving the People

The Path is none other than service of the people. -Saadi

Introduction

By nature I am not a political person; I have rarely been interested in politics for a number of personal reasons. Chiefly I find it very hard to understand the mind set that offers, ‘I have solutions for these very complicated problems.’ I am amazed that anyone actually can get vastly divergent groups to agree on anything. In my experience, it is only an emergency or crisis that promotes this level of cooperativeness. Or as in a work/business setting, one person is in charge and ultimately is responsible to make sure the system works. (more…)
