Why the Many Religions?

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, religion, spirituality

By Dr. Stewart Bitkoff

Q:   If God/Light is One, why the many religions?

The many religions exist because travelers and cultures are different; these differences in religious form exist to help people better understand who they are.

In this matter, there is both an internal and external reality.  The internal reality is the spiritual experience of God/Light; for all religious forms, the closer you get to God/Light, the more this experience is singular. Externally religious forms differ; religion puts on different clothes because the climate and traveler’s need vary. (more…)

A Message for Easter

Niánn Emerson Chase

Dear Friend:

How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love and care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would talk to me also. As evening drew near I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you. And I waited. You never came. Oh yes, it hurt me, but I still love you because I am your friend. I saw you fall asleep last night, and I longed to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and face. Again, I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you. You awakened late and rushed off for the day. My tears were in the rain. Today you looked so sad, so alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let me down and hurt me many times too,. but I love you. I try to tell you in the quiet green grass; I whisper it in the leaves and trees; breathe it in the colors of the flowers. I shout it to you in the mountain streams and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air. My love for you is deeper than oceans and bigger than the biggest want or need you have. We will spend eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on this earth. I really know because I was there, and I want to help you. My Father wants to help you too. He’s that way you know. Just call me; ask me; talk to me. It’s your decision. I have chosen you, and because of this, I will wait because I love you.

Your friend,
Jesus (more…)

Holidays? Xmas? Christmas? What is This Season Anyway?

Presented by Niánn Emerson Chase

Holiday Issues

I recall that in December 2005, President and Mrs. Bush came under much criticism from certain conservative Christians who were unhappy with the wording on the card sent from the White House. These critics complained that since the Bush’s are Christians and Christmas is a Christian holiday, they should have used the word Christmas on the card rather than holidays. In the seven years since then, there has been an increasing conflict between the conservative Christians whose agenda is to keep the holidays “Christian” and the non-Christian religionists and non-religious to keep all signs of Christianity out of the holidays.

This is a season that Christians as well as those of other religions enjoy their particular traditions, and the citizenry of the United States is comprised of people of many religions, nationalities, and subcultures. Regardless of religious and cultural leanings, most people (including  the nonreligious)  in this country celebrate this season, for almost every aspect of society is permeated with utilizing the “holiday season” that starts around Thanksgiving and ends after New Year’s Day. The Reincarnation of Mary Magdalene

abracad, · Categories: edgar cayce, externally authored, jesus, reincarnation

by Doug Simpson

Miss 295, a cousin of Gladys Davis, Edgar Cayce's long-time stenographer and secretary, was the reincarnation of Mary Magdalene.  In 1929, Miss 295 came to Virginia Beach to visit Gladys and ended up staying for over five years, becoming a secretary and office assistant to Edgar Cayce and the A.R.E.  Miss 295 utilized her proximity to the channel to the Heavenly Source and requested a number of life readings.  I will now share with you, in order, the information Miss 295 received on her previous incarnation as Mary Magdalene.  Some Biblical scholars refer to Mary Magdalene and Mary of Bethany as two separate individuals, but the Edgar Cayce readings clearly identify them as the same person.  See the contents of reading 295-8, below. This is the fourth article in a series of articles on the Essenes. If you have not read The Story of the Essenes - The Beginning, The Story of the Essenes - Jesus' Teacher, and The Story of the Essenes - Twelve Maidens, I respectfully suggest that you stop reading this article and locate and read the first three articles. It is not crucial that you do this, but knowledge of the first three articles may be of assistance to you in understanding the background for this fourth article. If you cannot locate the first three articles on the website where you currently are, you will find them on my website at http://dousimp.mnsi.net/.

We concluded our previous Essene article with a brief look at six of the twelve Essene maidens whose reincarnated soul entities had obtained readings from the legendary American mystic, Edgar Cayce. These six maidens plus five others who did not appear in the Edgar Cayce readings, leave us with the Virgin Mary, who was selected by the Angel to become the Mother of the long-awaited Savior. Here is the story of Mary and Joseph, as recorded in the Edgar Cayce readings, up to just preceding the birth of Jesus. (more…)

This is the third article in a series of articles on the Essenes, based on the information revealed in the in-trance readings from America's legendary mystic, Edgar Cayce. If you have not read The Story of the Essenes - The Beginning and The Story of the Essenes - Jesus' Teacher, I respectfully recommend that you do so before continuing to read this article. It is not crucial that you do this, but it will assist you in understanding the background of the Essenes organization and religion, prior to the point in time where they were making contingency plans during their preparations for the birth of the long-awaited Messiah. The Story of the Essenes - Jesus' Teacher

If you have not read the first part of the Story of the Essenes - The Beginning, then I respectfully recommend that you do so before you continue to read this article. It is not crucial that you do so, but it will be of some help in understanding how we reached our starting point for this article. If you cannot locate the first article on the website where you currently are, then you can read it on my website at http://dousimp.mnsi.net.

After centuries of faithful planning and progress, a small group of especially devoted and Divinely gifted members of the Essenes became aware, through dreams, visions and voices, that the birth of the long-awaited Savior was like a faint light at the end of a long tunnel, but a light none-the-less. But first, the birth, not selection but birth, of a Heavenly gifted teacher for the Messiah, needed to occur two or three decades before the birth of this prophesied Savior. Here is Edgar Cayce's story of that Heavenly anointed teacher, the next leader of the Essenes, and the most important person in the life of Jesus who was not named in the Bible. (more…)

Which is the Correct Religion?

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, religion, spirituality

By Dr. Stewart Bitkoff

Q:   In our tradition, we are taught those who do not believe the same as us are incorrect, and unless they change shall be punished by God.  Also, as responsible believers, we have a duty to try and correct their view?

A:    Does the Father love only some of his children?  Are not all children of God?

Before there was organized religion, how did travelers worship?  Were these millions all in error and abandoned by their Father?

To every place and time is a path or religion.  Look to a traveler's heart and their action; a good, loving person, who makes the world a better place, is a servant of God and has a religion to follow.  Let God evaluate the measure of their lives; God’s mercy is without end. (more…)

Christ, The 'Fish', The Vesica Pisces, and Astrology

abracad, · Categories: astrology, externally authored, jesus, spirituality

By Andrew Cort

(An Excerpt from THE PURPOSE OF RELIGION: Enlightenment, Meaning and Love in Jewish, Christian and Islamic Symbology)

When he had finished speaking he said to Simon,
“Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
Simon answered, “Master, we have worked all night long
but have caught nothing. Yet if you say so,
I will let down the nets.”
When they had done this they had caught so many fish
that their nets were beginning to break. (Luke.5.4-6)

They signaled the other boat to come and help them, and soon both boats were filled with so many fish that they began to sink. Simon (he that obeys), who was also called Peter (a rock or stone), “fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ‘Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.’ For he and all who were with him were amazed at the catch of fish that they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee [abundance], who were partners with Simon.” They were afraid the boats would sink under the weight of all the fish, but Jesus said: “Do not be afraid; from now on, you will be catching people.” (more…)

Edgar Cayce's Story of the Soul of John The Baptist

abracad, · Categories: edgar cayce, externally authored, jesus, reincarnation

The soul of John the Baptist was apparently not reincarnated at the time of the readings of the legendary American mystic, Edgar Cayce. I will explain the 'apparently' reference as we proceed with our story, but first we shall look at the information in the Scriptures and the Edgar Cayce readings linking the soul of John the Baptist to the renowned prophet Elijah/Elias. Elijah's story is recounted in I Kings, Chapters 17 to 21, and II Kings, Chapters 1 and 2. I am not going to retell his story here, except for his demise. Somewhat similar to Enoch in Genesis 5:24, and Jesus the Christ at the Ascension after the Resurrection, in Mark 16:19, Luke 24:50-51, and Acts 1:9-11, Elijah did not die but was taken up in a whirlwind into Heaven, as revealed in II Kings 2:1-11.
