How to Read Palms

Neil Fennel, Healer

A Palm Reading Case Study by T. Stokes, consultant palmist

The Interspiritual Forum said of this reading in their monthly bulletin that: This is exactly the way to tackle a life reading, from circumstances before birth building to the present day, with deep analysis and advice for the future. In every way this will set the tone for all future readings, and is the hallmark standard to search for, and look to.

“The primal sin is the killing and eating of gods animals”- Epictetus.

Here we have the palm print of society osteopath and healer Neil Fennel.

The Max Planck institute found that people born in the autumn live longer than spring born babies, and are less prone to illness. Also, statistically the birth month relates to life expectancy.

In natural childbirth, the child is born at the exact moment when the planetary conditions in the outer world, are directly aligned to those of the world within. Workers at the Medical research council say the date on your gravestone, was settled in the womb, and what determined this was what your mother ate and drank, and what medication she took- while you were in her womb.

hand printThis print shows an exceptionally good start in life, the lifeline beginning between the thumb and index or Jupiter finger, ( figure1)

With a series of small lines, like the roots of a tree, they take their nourishment from the Jupiter mount, (2) giving pride, ambition and urge to power, resulting in strong religious and political feelings.

Age 2—3 the lifeline, which encircles the thumb, shows a choking incident, perhaps on a toy, causing much concern, could be a decorative bit of a Christmas tree, as it is that time of year.

The open “Life and Head” line, on a busy or full hand shows someone sensitive

And changeable yet headstrong, impulsive, impatient, frank and with an ambitious and serious inner nature, and with early desires for independence.

At approx 7 years of age a strong maternal influence is shown, which will give feelings of being at ease in feminine company throughout the life, yet at this time nocturnal bruxism, or night time teeth grinding, coupled to a determined wilfulness where he would bang his head on the floor in temper.

17 years of age his hand says he wanted to be an artist or draughtsman, but chaffed at the bit to be out either wind or water surfing.

Emotional change is shown at 25 years, a time of decisions, taking on responsibilities.

In more recent times Neil has given total commitment to the alternative health agenda, and combines spiritual healing with reflexology and reiki, with his classical osteopathy and dietary advice. Neil often gives talks on animal welfare, and vegetarianism, and links it to spirituality.

Nowadays when every second person you meet is a healer, someone with real talent is a novelty, Neil a vegan runs many marathons, his signing in book reads like a who's who of the entertainment world.

His hand is unusually large for his frame; his body type is “ectomorph”, which anatomists say is slim, quite small with low body fat and good metabolism.

Incidentally, the fingernail should be the same shape and size as the front tooth, his are all excellent.

Look at the palm, the branch of the life line at age 44 coupled with the lines on the Luna mount, (heel of the hand) added to the branched head line, and we have the urge to travel, due to inner restlessness, and a need for independence.

Neil will like to move home a lot, to take on too much perhaps, with a feeling that he may not achieve his life goals, this is part of the symptom cluster that can define the Andropause or male menopause, that social anthropologists speak of, it sometimes shows in the fear of aging that men have, resulting in a renewed desire to ride fast motorbikes, climb mountains, seeking football type camaraderie, or growing a beard, or a pony-tail, some severe examples exhibit all these symptoms. Neil a Scot has a great love of country, which is evident at his lectures on health and spirit.

So, at age 44 a feeling that change is forthcoming and inevitable, the occult saying; “A coming event casts its shadow before it “, applies here as a feeling of being in some sort of a shadow. Remember that all change and the causes of change are firstly always internal.

Neil is a Cancer sun sign, which relates to the Luna mount on the hand heel, The square on Jupiter’s mount, with the odd radial finger print loop, tells of teaching ability bearing fruit. (5)

Where the fate or destiny line starts right from the wrist crease at the hand base, (6) coupled with the life line “tree roots “, to the first finger base, known as Jupiter’s mount, we know of someone here on a mission, a decision before birth to be a healer, actually more than a decision a compulsion to heal and teach others. Neil is very conscious of the threat from the European union to ban or regulate all alternative medicines and practitioners; stage two is to outlaw psychic and spiritual healers. Christian fundamentalists and the drug cartels are a powerful force.

Hindu palmistry, which teaches reincarnation, can be helpful in establishing life’s goals, which should lead to an inner fulfilment, a feeling of being in the right place.

His early fifties, show some, stomach, liver or bowel concern. Abraham Lincoln, said, “The best thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time “.

This type of hand is known as an earth hand, giving stability and love of the outdoors and changing seasons, with the rhythms of nature. Neil must try to resist starting the next project before finishing the last, he is someone who has to keep busy, and being impatient can jump to conclusions, someone that can jump in with both feet, as it were, so should look before they leap and with a feeling they are always on duty.

But good news, the older he gets the more he is able to slow down and switch off, so he will be able to reflect and rein in his impulsive side, and over confidence, so no more taking the financial risks he took in his youth. The theory of Heraclitus, is” that nothing remains the same that all things are in a constant state of flux, and their permanence only illusory, nothing is but only becomes. “

Often the things we deem important in our lives are of no lasting value, or long-term importance.

A lot of what palmistry is about is guidance, and taking stock of your life, and defining which rung you stand on the ladder of life.

A graph I occasionally use to illustrate this, is based on the 4 divisions laid down by Carl Jung, after his zodiacal studies, his quarters; “thinking feeling intuition and, sensation” is used in an exercise of amplification, which is a good aid in counselling.

The 4 separations I call the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.

In terms of the graph, balance is everything, and Neil is too much in the work zone, at present neglecting both self care and spirit, sometimes we miss chances by being unbalanced in our lives, remember;

“The days come and go like muffled and veiled figures sent from a distant friendly party, but they say nothing and if we do not use the gifts they bring, they carry them as silently away”. –Ralph Waldo Emerson.
