Dupuytrens Contracture

A large part of my work is for single professional women. For some years I have been analysing and interpreting relationship prospects, from hand-prints, for professional women who have too much to lose by involvement in a “wrong” relationship. This “prospective candidate” had one of the worst handprints ever !.

This handprint was sent to me by email, from a wealthy young widow who has me look over the handprints of all her male suitors.

This is happening with greater frequency, not just since the threat of A.I.D.s but for a whole gamut of reasons. I have chosen this print because it is an extreme one, which makes it of special interest.

Remember, the first rule of palmistry is to be diplomatic, and to do no harm and always to be honest.

An old proverb sprang to mind looking at this print, “out of timber so crooked as that from which man is cut, nothing entirely straight can be made “

The most noticeable aspect of this print is the twist in the Mercury or little finger.

The rules of palmistry dictate that this would show a disturbance somewhere in the remit of the planet Mercury, the main body of the of the twist or kink, is in the top sector of the 3 divisions of the finger, which are divided by the cross lines into “Phalanges”, and as always remember, corroboration and confirmation must be sought elsewhere in the hand.

The great psychologist Hans Eysenck in his “personality inventory” gives support to the theory that to think in a certain way will ultimately manifest physically, and he defined such illnesses as worry, anxiety etc as having a defined physical conclusion.

This idea is also supported by psychologist Alfred Adler, who said; “Every emotion finds expression in the body, and in its most inferior organ”.

This finger condition, common among the Huguenots was called “weavers finger”. Mrs Thatcher is a modern day sufferer. Statistically those descended from Vikings are most liable, and it is often found with a malfunctioning liver, or as a result of long term epilepsy medication.

Provided this “twist” is not due to injury, but through gradual development, it tells us of a gradual “twist” developing within the subconscious landscape.

The top phalangeal twist, is symptomatic of some negative oral fixation, and the whole hand will reveal the knock on ramifications in later life.

Remember the adage in palmistry one sign must never be used in isolation, the whole hand must be examined for confirmation. Just as the eating, one by one of the ingredients to go into a cake, would give no inkling of what the cakes final taste would be. So the analysis of the hand must be a complete one, and not just by single signs.

Mercury’s top phalange relates to speech, and it is from this part that we determine singers, linguists actors and those who need to reflect this verbal quality in their careers.

The second to business and financial affairs, the very word merchant is a corruption of the term “ Mercury”, you would see from other hand factors what work they did, then check here and the Apollo line for financial success.

And the basal section tells us of the sexual type, remember that sex is only physical communication.

Check to see which way the finger has more lateral movement on its axis, toward the thumb, giving an extrovert, external and exhibitionist type behavioural pattern, or toward the outward hand side exposing an introverted, thoughtful inward development to the dominant phalange, with the libidinal energy directed in toward the ego, rather that out toward other people, as is this one.

The key here is to under stand Mercury rules the entire communications sector.

The head line which is the second crossing line down from the fingers, has a little break which lifts up at its termination, so in essence it is drawn out of its path by the pull of the twisted Mercury, this pattern shows a self centred man who is out for two things, money and sex, see how developed the heavily lined Venus mount at the ball of the thumb is. And the dishonesty of the twisted Mercury would make him a compulsive and clever liar, with a high physical appetite.

This symptom constellation tells that the subject sees sex as an act of “conquest,” and not, a sharing, giving loving thing with warmth and kindness.

Add this to a whorl type fingerprint on the first or Jupiter finger with a large centrally placed mount ridge apex. this represents a big ego and you have a recipe for heartache for anyone falling for his charm.

It was Germaine Greer who coined the now famous phrase; “charming men are bred to be psychopaths”

Another apt saying here from the same feminist psychologist school, is that “men have enough blood to run both their brain and their penis, but not simultaneously.”!

Carl Jung in his studies in psychology and palmistry coined the term, “psycho-chirology” he would have noticed here several accepted criminal markers.

Monomorphism, or simlar finger-print type, in each finger, this is seen occasionally in the higher type monkeys, and is recognised in humans as a known atavistic marker.
Absence of the fate or longitudinal line, which runs from the wrist up to the middle or Saturn finger.

This poison line sometimes called the “Via lasciva”, shows in people with a history of alcohol or drug dependency, people who react badly to allopathic medicine or anaesthetics, and in those with addictive personalities. Such as compulsive and serial womanising.

This marking is also one which when seen with confirmation, tells of an allergy, often in the diet, which can be determined by further examination, but the common triggers are wheat, nuts or cows milk.

It is also sometimes seen as a pre-diabetic marker, or warning of possible haemo-chemical changes to come.

The shear size of the Luna mount, some call the heel of the hand, shows the pull of the water, I always need to recharge my batteries in woods or forests, but this man would have a great feel for the water, and water sports, people who have a lot of sailors in the family often have such markings.

The point is when under stress you would know where to find him.

The low flat straight heart line is not a good omen, it shows a man with “commitment difficulties”, it always seems strange to me when finding a man who is as strong physically as this, with such power and vitality, that just does not translate through, you would expect passion and fire, but no, here is a cold, heartless selfish type, but one that can charm the birds from the trees to take what he needs.

Remember the adage; “if one woman is not enough, a thousand won’t be,”

But please do not interpret by a single sign, say just by a bent finger alone.

The whole picture here, says there is little contentment or satisfaction in this hand, for when we cheat others we ultimately cheat ourselves.

Square shapes in the lines are always seen as a protective sign in the hand, it is as if at that time you are kept safe within a box, but inside the life line, and you have a hospital or prison situation and this is at age 30.

Timing is the hardest aspect of palmistry and there are many systems for its determination, but people who cheat usually end up very lonely, and this in time is this mans fate.
