The Story of the Essenes - Twelve Maidens

by Doug Simpson

This is the third article in a series of articles on the Essenes, based on the information revealed in the in-trance readings from America's legendary mystic, Edgar Cayce. If you have not read The Story of the Essenes - The Beginning and The Story of the Essenes - Jesus' Teacher, I respectfully recommend that you do so before continuing to read this article. It is not crucial that you do this, but it will assist you in understanding the background of the Essenes organization and religion, prior to the point in time where they were making contingency plans during their preparations for the birth of the long-awaited Messiah. The Story of the Essenes - Jesus' Teacher

by Doug Simpson

If you have not read the first part of the Story of the Essenes - The Beginning, then I respectfully recommend that you do so before you continue to read this article. It is not crucial that you do so, but it will be of some help in understanding how we reached our starting point for this article. If you cannot locate the first article on the website where you currently are, then you can read it on my website at http://dousimp.mnsi.net.

After centuries of faithful planning and progress, a small group of especially devoted and Divinely gifted members of the Essenes became aware, through dreams, visions and voices, that the birth of the long-awaited Savior was like a faint light at the end of a long tunnel, but a light none-the-less. But first, the birth, not selection but birth, of a Heavenly gifted teacher for the Messiah, needed to occur two or three decades before the birth of this prophesied Savior. Here is Edgar Cayce's story of that Heavenly anointed teacher, the next leader of the Essenes, and the most important person in the life of Jesus who was not named in the Bible. (more…)

Christ, The 'Fish', The Vesica Pisces, and Astrology

By Andrew Cort

(An Excerpt from THE PURPOSE OF RELIGION: Enlightenment, Meaning and Love in Jewish, Christian and Islamic Symbology)

When he had finished speaking he said to Simon,
“Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
Simon answered, “Master, we have worked all night long
but have caught nothing. Yet if you say so,
I will let down the nets.”
When they had done this they had caught so many fish
that their nets were beginning to break. (Luke.5.4-6)

They signaled the other boat to come and help them, and soon both boats were filled with so many fish that they began to sink. Simon (he that obeys), who was also called Peter (a rock or stone), “fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ‘Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.’ For he and all who were with him were amazed at the catch of fish that they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee [abundance], who were partners with Simon.” They were afraid the boats would sink under the weight of all the fish, but Jesus said: “Do not be afraid; from now on, you will be catching people.” (more…)

Edgar Cayce's Story of the Soul of John The Baptist

abracad, · Categories: edgar cayce, externally authored, jesus, reincarnation

The soul of John the Baptist was apparently not reincarnated at the time of the readings of the legendary American mystic, Edgar Cayce. I will explain the 'apparently' reference as we proceed with our story, but first we shall look at the information in the Scriptures and the Edgar Cayce readings linking the soul of John the Baptist to the renowned prophet Elijah/Elias. Elijah's story is recounted in I Kings, Chapters 17 to 21, and II Kings, Chapters 1 and 2. I am not going to retell his story here, except for his demise. Somewhat similar to Enoch in Genesis 5:24, and Jesus the Christ at the Ascension after the Resurrection, in Mark 16:19, Luke 24:50-51, and Acts 1:9-11, Elijah did not die but was taken up in a whirlwind into Heaven, as revealed in II Kings 2:1-11. The Reincarnation of Elizabeth, the Mother of John The Baptist

abracad, · Categories: edgar cayce, externally authored, jesus, reincarnation

by Doug Simpson

The life readings of the legendary American mystic, Edgar Cayce, present details about John the Baptist and his family not found in any discovered ancient documents. The soul of Miss 2156, the reincarnation of Elizabeth, was definitely one of those highly developed souls that I have now mentioned a number of times in other articles, so the story of Elizabeth contains a story within a story. This story-within-a-story begins with letters, carefully preserved in the archives of Edgar Cayce's Association For Research And Enlightenment, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. (more…)

The Second Coming of Jesus of Nazareth?

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, jesus

by Leland Mellott

By way of a powerful LIGHT in my mind during the month of October 1981, I see that we have entered Humanity's Next Cycle and that this is not another 2,000 year out-breath of Divine Will Intelligence (which is what the Second Coming would have been); it is a turn to Source.

Like a duck leaping into a pond is what the Second Coming would have been compared to the cycle we have entered, which is more like a galaxy being born. (more…)

Using Child Stories to Teach the True Meaning of Easter

abracad, · Categories: externally authored, jesus

by: Paul Arinaga

There's a lot of controversy about the true meaning of Easter. Some claim that it's actually a pagan celebration in origin. Others lament that retailers, greeting card companies and television are changing Christianity's greatest feast into something with meaning "the size of a jelly bean." (more…)

The Corruption of Christmas

abracad, · Categories: christmas, jesus, spirituality

The Holiday season is fast approaching. That time of year when we remember the birth of Jesus, a worthwhile celebration indeed. For Christians Jesus is God incarnate, but for others this truly enlightened teacher shared a message of love and peace that still has the power to promote a better world if only it were practiced a little more. The first step to that is awareness, and in that sense Christmas remains valuable.

Yet the origins of this season go back way before the birth of Christ, to an era when mankind was far closer to nature. December 21st marks the winter solstice, the shortest day. A day to be in front of a warm fire, with loved ones, looking forward to the lengthening days that immediately followed. (more…)

The Easter Story - a Spiritual Interpretation

abracad, · Categories: jesus, spirituality

The real theme of Easter is timeless, that of re-birth and renewal.

Nature re-awakens after winter's withdrawal; refreshed, energized and ready for the opportunities of the new season. And we, full of plans dreamed up on long dark winter's nights begin to bring them to realization. Realtors know that Spring sees many new homes being placed on the market as people pursue new beginnings.

But as Easter itself is a Christian celebration, and Christianity is the world's largest faith, let's focus on that great Soul, the Lord Jesus. (more…)
