Life is Like a Soccer Game
abracad, · Categories: spiritualityIn a soccer match, even if a team is getting whacked 6-0, the losing team don't storm off the pitch. They keep playing, keep trying their best, until the final whistle. Life is like that too.
A few years ago Liverpool were losing 3-0 to AC MIlan in the European Cup Final. Perhaps a lesser team would have allowed their heads to drop, but Liverpool battled on, levelled the game at 3-3 and eventually emerged victorious after a penalty shootout.
No matter how bad you feel your life has been up to now (and chances are it's nowhere near as bad as you feel), if you're still here then your game is still in progress. If you can do just one constructive thing, learn just one lesson, then your duty is to keep trying 100% - right up to the final whistle.
