dance with me before the sun goes down
dance with me until the morning light
I've been away so long
I don't know wrong from right
I'm so tired I have no strength to fight

don't be afraid of what you're thinking
my indecision left me sinking
with no more left to prove
and nothing else to lose

forget my fear of sorrow
forgive my tears of sadness
let me keep the joy of madness;

let me stand again
and be happy again
find my dream again, and then
like the raindrops falling down
so strong they can't be wrong
yet something deep inside
keeps telling me they lied
all the time.

these are things I find
looking through the pages
of the memories of the ages
of my life.
